I’m absolutely delighted to announce that I’ll be representing Fulling Mill on the Tyers Row at the forthcoming Glasgow Angling Centre Open Weekend.
It’s a fantastic opportunity and, I have to admit, one that I’m genuinely excited about. To be sitting at the tying bench representing a company I respect and whose hooks, materials and products I use in my own fly tying is a real privilege.
For me, fly tying has always been about much more than simply putting materials onto a hook. It’s about tradition, experimentation, learning and, most importantly, sharing the enjoyment of creating flies with other anglers and tyers. That’s what makes events like this so enjoyable.
I’ll be tying some of my favourite Scottish loch-style wet flies, along with a few variations.
’m looking forward to chatting with fellow tyers, answering questions, swapping ideas and hopefully inspiring a few people to take up the flytying themselves.
Having joined the Fulling Mill Pro Team, it’s particularly satisfying to have the opportunity to represent the company at an event on my own doorstep. Fulling Mill has become a big part of my tying over recent years, and I’m proud to be able to put their products through their paces and demonstrate what can be achieved with them.
So, if you’re heading along to the Glasgow Angling Centre Open Weekend, come and say hello on the Tyers Row.
I’m looking forward to it immensely.
