Tying a Straggle Fritz Lure

Stuck in the house with the lurgy Ive been tying up more flies and as a few folk have been asking to see my UV Straggle fritz lure I thought it would be a good idea to make a short vid of tying the pattern which is extremely easy to tie and a pattern that I can highly recommend.
I normally tie these lures in size 8's but on this occasion I tied it on a size 6 as I'm clean out of Kamasan 8's.

  1. hi ive just come across this post i have great memories,of hillend ,aka forestfield dam or something like that i fished their when i was maybe sixteen years old im 70 now there were some nice brown trout there but no rainbows as lads we fished worm spinners normally on the far side from the truff inn ,then we started using bubble and fly which proved effective at times just using traditional flies ,we used to wade out if we could t the small island and fish from there ,ive seen lovely hatches of mayfly there dont know if you still get them ,a good time was when the perch fry were on you could the fish boiling at them that was the time we tied on a longer shank hook with a touch of gold if you had three flies on you got three perch , but sometimes you would hook a good trout ,and if we felt the hillend was not fishing good we would up to the lily loch ,but it was not as good as the hillend lots of unforgettable memories we came fro m falkirk by bus and the driver would let us of at the loch and we walked down the hill to it a i am trying to remember if we stayed out all night but it was a long time ago
